Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data Kyndred collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
When you sign in, we store your email address and a unique account ID. We track your usage (voice minutes used, text messages sent per day) to enforce plan limits. We store your language preference (English, Romanian or Japanese) in your browser's local storage.
When you talk to a companion, the AI may extract and store memories about your conversations (preferences, topics you've discussed, things you've shared). Memories are stored per companion — Lila and Paul each have their own memory of you. You can view, delete individual memories, or clear all memories for any companion at any time from the app.
Your voice audio is streamed directly from your browser to our voice provider (ElevenLabs). Audio never passes through or is stored on Kyndred servers. We only track the duration of your calls for usage limits.
We use the following third-party services to operate Kyndred:
We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't use analytics or tracking scripts. We don't share your conversations or memories with anyone.
You can export all your data at any time. You can delete individual memories or clear all memories for any companion. You can delete your entire account, which removes all your data from our systems. To exercise these rights, use the controls in the app or contact us at privacy@kyndred.dev.
Your data is kept as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data (profile, memories, usage history) is permanently removed.
